December 5, 2022-Directors Hahn and San Antonio Join the OMWD Board of Directors

After prevailing in their contested November 8 elections, Matthew Hahn and Marco San Antonio were sworn in on December 5, 2022, as the newest members of Olivenhain Municipal Water District’s Board of Directors. Director Hahn represents OMWD’s Division 4 and Director San Antonio represents Division 1. I look forward to working with them on the OMWD Board.

August 2, 2022- Colorado River Drought

On August 2, 2022, I attended the Association of California Water Agencies (ACWA) Region 10 conference held at the OMWD Board room. The keynote speaker presented how the drought is impacting the Colorado River basin and its impact on Southern California water supplies. The facts are humbling, highlighting our need to conserve, promote recycled water and water reuse and develop fiscally and environmentally responsible local water supplies. I would be grateful for your consideration and vote in this upcoming election to help lead OMWD in those efforts.

July 19, 2022- Candidate Papers Filed!

I have formally filed my Declaration of Candidacy with the County Registrar to be on the November 8, 2022, General Election ballot! My job is to ensure that OMWD continues to provide you and your family with safe, high-quality, and reliable water without wasteful spending or unnecessary rate increases. May 19, 2022-OMWD Recognized for Construction Projects

On May 19, 2022, the American Public Works Association’s San Diego and Imperial County Chapter recognized OMWD’s Indian Head Canyon Pipeline Restoration Project and El Camino Real Potable Water Pipeline Replacement Project as 2022 Projects of the Year at its awards event in Mission Valley which I was privileged to attend. Congratulations to the OMWD staff and consultants for their excellent work.
